Surveyor in Training (SIT)

SIT works under the supervision of the RPLS. Possesses a comprehensive knowledge of ALTA surveys, boundary analysis, topographic surveys, preparation of easement documents, legal descriptions, final plat preparation, construction staking and the ability to utilize survey field equipment is essential.

Essential Functions:

  • Research and organize project information
  • Prepare data and review field crew procedures
  • Familiar with AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Motivated, team player attitude
  • Manage multiple tasks at once
  • Coordinate multiple projects at a time
  • Interact with other design services
  • Full use of Microsoft Office
  • Perform in a fast-paced environment that is in a growth mode
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 3 years land surveying experience required

Physical Requirements

  • Perform bending and reaching to both ground level and overhead
  • Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to operate a computer keyboard and mouse

Licensing/Certifications

  • SIT license required
  • If operating a motor vehicle for the purpose of completing job duties, must possess a valid Texas Motor Vehicle Operator’s License
