KFW is a longtime supporter of the life-changing efforts of The Gordon Hartman Family Foundation and their dedication to transforming the lives of our friends with special needs. The Gordon Hartman Family Foundation acts tenaciously towards fulfilling their vision in many ways including the construction of Morgan’s Wonderland, a theme park where people of all ages with and without disabilities can come together for fun and understanding. We support The Foundation’s mission through volunteering in fundraising events, such as their 5K Cruise for a Cause to benefit Morgan’s Wonderland and through our annual sponsorship of the Free to Soar Gala, an event that raises proceeds vital to the continuation and expansion of programs for special needs individuals in our community.

KFW is proud to be a part of the design team on many of The Foundation’s visionary developments to include Toyota Field, home of the San Antonio Scorpions soccer team, where all net profits are used to fund Morgan’s Wonderland. Currently, we are on the civil design team for Morgan’s Inspiration Island, a wheel-chair accessible water park and expansion of Morgan’s Wonderland expected to be complete in March 2017. Further, our team is designing the highly anticipated 2016 addition to the park—the “Whirling Wonder” Ferris wheel, built for individuals regardless of ability or disability. We are honored to continually be involved in the development of such transformative projects that strengthen a community and a nationwide model of inclusion.
