GIS Day is a local forum for users of GIS technology to demonstrate real-world applications that are making a difference in our society. KFW’s GIS department participates in the annual GIS Day event to share their knowledge and passion with students and the general public. Having a booth at this event gives our GIS professionals an opportunity to interact with students, have then practice with an activity, and really talk about how GIS is used by most people on a daily basis. The goal of this volunteer initiative is to get students interested in learning more about GIS and explore it as a professional option in their future.
