KFW Adopts Morgan's Wonderland

As of our company kick-off last week, KFW Engineers + Surveying has officially adopted Morgan’s Wonderland and pledged to raise $50,000 over the next year in support of the park’s mission of inclusion -- to provide a clean, fun environment where individuals of all ages with or without special needs can feel safe and accepted. As KFW has previously (and proudly!) helped engineer much of Morgan’s Wonderland, our company is continually inspired by their efforts; and needless to say, we are very excited to be a part of their vision to create a culture of acceptance and inclusion within the community!

Inspired and named after Morgan Hartman, the daughter of philanthropist, Gordon Hartman, and wife Maggie Hartman, this magical place is the world’s first theme park designed with special-needs individuals in mind and built for all to enjoy. Complete with rides, playgrounds, and other colorful attractions, it has succeeded in creating a fun atmosphere of inclusion, acceptance, and understanding for people from all walks of life. Oh, and did we mention it’s completely wheel chair- accessible as well? In addition, they understand that families with special-needs members have great demands on both their financial and emotional resources, so park admission for those with special-needs is absolutely free!

However, due to the park’s generous free admission for aforementioned individuals, there is an unfunded cost of $25 for every comped ticket, which leads to an operating deficit of $2,500 per day! It is due to the generosity of individuals, corporations, and the community that the park can continue to provide complimentary admission.

And this is where you come in! We can absolutely use your help in making our fundraising efforts a success! With your generosity, we can help Morgan’s Wonderland continue to provide this magical environment and support their vision of inclusion and acceptance for all. In addition, any donation you or your company makes -- be it a an item for us to raffle/auction or a monetary donation -- you will earn your own butterfly on our Donor Recognition Wall, which will be proudly displayed at the KFW office. We hope you will assist us in our fundraising efforts because together we CAN make a difference!butterfly3
