The Dirt @ KFW
Welcome to our new website and blog! Why the change? We wanted a website that enables us to better collaborate with our clients, potential clients, and associates. With that in mind, our guiding focus during the redesign was aimed at enhancing your understanding and experience as a current or future partner with us.
KFW experienced an unforgettable year of growth, positive changes, and FUN. From the start of construction on our new headquarters to Steven Krauskopf’s Memorial Day Picnic jousting victory, 2015 was a year to celebrate!
A Look Back
A lifelong commitment to service is encouraged at KFW through volunteerism and the funding of programs to include Texas A&M’s BUILD program. BUILD unites students under the value of selfless service to construct mobile medical units. In 2015, we donated $10,000 to help fund four medical units and increase our efforts in promoting volunteerism in higher education.
- Hydrology & Hydraulics Department
Chris Otto joined our team as Director of H&H to focus on the drainage challenges that sites encounter and design improvements that save the client time and money.
- March of Dimes Fundraiser
We host an annual company fundraiser to support March of Dimes. In 2015, our BBQ Fundraiser raised over $7,350 in funds—ranking us 3rd in the City of San Antonio for top non-family team donations.
- New Vice President - Ed Belmares
A strong addition to the Company’s leadership team, Ed Belmares joined us in late 2015 to oversee all non-technical operations. Ed worked as Assistant City Manager with the City of San Antonio prior to joining us. He shares our commitment to service and is highly involved in charitable organizations both locally and internationally.
- Aggie 100
For the fourth year in a row, both KFW Engineers and KFW Surveying won the Aggie 100 award. KFW Engineers ranked 23rd and KFW Surveying ranked 46th in the 2015 Aggie 100. Learn more about this award given out annually by Texas A&M!

- 10 Year Anniversary
We will celebrate our ten year anniversary in 2016! Our successes from the very beginning through today are only possible because of the support we receive from our clients and our team.
